Job summary

Gatekeeper, a leading contract and third-party-risk management platform, is hiring an Accountant to join a small, high-performing finance team. This fully remote role is open to applicants based in Ontario, Canada, offering exposure across the business and mentorship to develop your career beyond bookkeeping.

You will support month-end close, analyze financial data, and partner with stakeholders to drive insights.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a newly qualified accountant.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
• Solid Excel skills and comfort learning new systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and drives tasks to completion with minimal oversight.
• Skilled at reconciling data and spotting missing or inconsistent information.
• Experience with Canadian and/or US sales tax would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial and operational analysis, reporting, and dashboards to track business performance
• Partner with stakeholders across the global business to provide financial insight and support
• Assist with month-end close, including journal preparation and balance sheet reviews
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash movements, and support intercompany cash tracking
• Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
• Manage the finance inbox and other financial administration
• Support continuous improvement across finance processes and controls
