Qualifications

• CPA designation and membership in good standing.
• At least seven years of accounting experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Experience using AI tools to improve accounting workflows and protect confidentiality.
• Experience coaching or supervising junior team members.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience preparing Canadian and US sales tax returns.
• Experience with NetSuite and ERP systems.
• Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills and ability to handle large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly and annual close for assigned areas.
• Reconcile revenue and deferred revenue; work with billing to resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate tasks and deadlines; flag issues with next steps.
• Prepare and reconcile GST/HST and sales tax returns.
• Review reconciliations and provide feedback to junior staff.
• Coach and develop the team; document processes.
• Prepare financial reports and explain variances clearly.
• Support year-end and external advisors with working papers.
• Improve processes using NetSuite, AI and automation.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and cash analysis.
