Job summary

Thales Canada is seeking an IT Project Manager, Facilities and Real Estate Specialist to lead end-to-end IT projects with emphasis on Real Estate and Facilities initiatives across sites in Canada. You will partner with Real Estate, Corporate Security, Procurement, and IT teams, coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure IT readiness and adherence to enterprise standards.

Travel to site locations is required periodically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, Business or related field; 8–10+ years of IT project management experience; demonstrated experience delivering IT infrastructure and facilities IT projects such as office builds, relocations or renovations.
• Working knowledge of IT infrastructure domains (networking, end-user computing,A/V, security systems) and project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).
• Experience managing cross-functional programs involving Facilities, Construction, and IT teams; proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience with project management and portfolio tools (e.g., ServiceNow PPM, MS Project, Jira, or equivalent; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification (or actively pursuing).
• Ability to travel to site locations as required; strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle delivery (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure) of IT projects focusing on Real Estate and Facilities initiatives (site builds, moves, upgrades); define WBS and IT work packages; develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
• Serve as IT lead for site-related initiatives; coordinate IT deployment (network, AV, end-user computing, security systems, IoT/smart building tech) with construction and facilities timelines.
• Prepare IT readiness artifacts for Real Estate gating; provide cost estimations for IT activities and review architectural diagrams for low voltage plans.
• Act as primary point of contact for business stakeholders, Facilities, and vendors; manage vendor deliverables, contracts, performance and provide status updates to leadership.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking (CapEx/OpEx); track KPIs (schedule, cost variance, delivery quality) and mitigate risks; ensure IT security and compliance; maintain governance records.
• Contribute to standard playbooks for IT site deployments and facility integrations; drive lessons learned and process improvements; promote adoption of standardized tools.
