Job summary

PGL Environmental Consultants seeks an experienced hydrogeologist (5–10+ years) to join our Canada-wide water resource team. The role supports growth across provinces and involves client interaction, project leadership, and mentoring junior staff.

Based in any of our offices (Vancouver, Langley, Victoria, Calgary, Whitby) or working from home, you will collaborate with hydrogeologists, project managers, and regulators on a broad range of projects, from field investigations to impact assessments.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10+ years of experience in hydrogeology.
• Professional designation (P.Eng, P.Geo) in BC, Alberta and/or Ontario.
• Proven project management and budgeting skills for small to complex projects.
• Strong technical writing skills and QA/QC on projects.
• Willingness to travel and potentially work in remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, conduct, and supervise hydrogeological investigations and monitoring.
• Data analysis: hydrogeological parameters, contaminant transport, water balance.
• Interpret site hydrogeology from maps, reports, data.
• Conduct water resource impact assessments and regulatory reviews.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development.
