Job summary

Rippling is seeking a Payroll Specialist on the EOR Equity Services team to translate complex, global equity events into compliant payroll runs. You’ll work with multi-country payroll fundamentals, collaborate with Engineering, and become a trusted advisor to clients while enabling global hiring and equity processing.

The role emphasizes high-impact, niche compliance, and cross-functional partnership, with remote work options within Canada and required in-office presence in Ontario 1–3

Qualifications

• 5+ years in payroll operations, tax compliance, or non-cash/imputed income handling.
• Multi-country payroll experience is a plus.
• Ability to translate complex tax guidance for clients.
• Comfort collaborating with engineering to fix bugs and improve systems.

Responsibilities

• Guide global clients on equity event operationalization, earnings codes and tax withholding.
• Process stock option exercises and RSU vestings across jurisdictions.
• Explain equity outcomes clearly to clients and employees.
• Support country-specific equity filings with filings specialists.
• Troubleshoot, innovate, and automate manual processes with Engineering.
• Maintain SOPs and internal cheat sheets for cross-border rules.
