Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Product Development Scientist to join our client’s R&D team. This fully remote role focuses on formulating innovative FMCG products, conducting sensory analysis, and ensuring stability and efficacy from your home office.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the product pipeline, translate research into market-ready offerings, and stay ahead of industry trends while delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in a relevant field.
3–5 years of product development experience in FMCG.
Strong expertise in formulation, sensory science, and analytical methods.

Responsibilities

Conduct R&D activities to create innovative FMCG products focusing on formulation and performance.
Develop and optimize formulations meeting consumer needs, regulatory requirements, and business goals.
Perform sensory evaluations and stability testing to ensure quality and shelf-life.
Collaborate closely with marketing, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing throughout the product lifecycle.
Troubleshoot technical issues during development and scale-up processes.
Stay updated on scientific trends, technologies, and competitive developments.
