Placements24 is seeking a Product Development Scientist to join our client’s R&D team. This fully remote role focuses on formulating innovative FMCG products, conducting sensory analysis, and ensuring stability and efficacy from your home office.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the product pipeline, translate research into market-ready offerings, and stay ahead of industry trends while delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of product development experience in FMCG.
• Strong expertise in formulation, sensory science, and analytical methods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct R&D activities to create innovative FMCG products focusing on formulation and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development activities to create innovative new FMCG products , focusing on formulation, ingredient interactions, and product performance.

• Perform sensory evaluations and stability testing to ensure product quality, safety, and shelf-life.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product development , preferably within the FMCG industry .
• Proven expertise in product formulation, sensory science, and analytical techniques.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality assurance principles relevant to FMCG products.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting .
