Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Field Adjuster – Commercial Property Claims in Canada to investigate and resolve commercial property claims for clients across the Greater Toronto Area. You will conduct on-site and virtual inspections, validate estimates, interpret coverage, and negotiate settlements.

The role emphasizes analytical problem-solving, strong communication with policyholders and brokers, and the ability to manage multiple claims in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two+ years as field adjuster handling commercial lines.
• At least one year managing first-party commercial property claims (building owner/tenant losses, BI, stock, cargo).
• Strong knowledge of commercial property insurance, policy interpretation, and claim settlement.
• Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills to evaluate reports and estimates.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities with clients and brokers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to explain coverages and progress.
• Customer-focused with timely, high-quality claims service.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple claims and deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Guidewire.
• CIP/FCIP designation preferred; willing to pursue CIP.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site and virtual inspections to assess damage and repair scope.
• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle commercial property claims per policy terms.
• Review contractor estimates to ensure accurate pricing and scope.
• Interview policyholders and third parties to establish facts and losses.
• Interpret policies and reports to determine coverage and settlement.
• Provide guidance to customers and brokers on claim options and next steps.
• Review leases to determine insured obligations and damage responsibilities.
• Manage claim payments with proper documentation and timely processing.
• Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Identify potential fraud indicators and subrogation opportunities.
