Aviva Canada is hiring Field Adjusters for the Greater Toronto Area, home-based with a hybrid work model. You will inspect residential property claims, capture damages, and prepare repair estimates for settlements while coordinating with insureds, vendors and legal contacts.

The role requires 2+ years in Personal Lines claims, strong property insurance knowledge, and a valid driver's license. Excellent customer service and accuracy in payments are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a Field adjuster handling Personal Lines claims.
• Strong understanding of Property Insurance.
• Preference for ability to scope damages and prepare repair estimates.
• Good PC skills and adaptability with new technology.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Completes on site and/or virtual inspections of residential property claims.
• Captures the scope of damages and writes repair estimates to settle claims.
• Reconciles and validates vendor estimates for price and scope.
• Investigates by meeting with insureds, third parties, witnesses and lawyers to obtain facts.
• Reviews facts, policy, technical reports, fire marshal reports, case law and makes coverage decisions.
• Provides exemplary customer service and keeps related parties informed of claims status.
• Manages data accuracy and issuance of payments to insureds, vendors and other insurers.
• Assists during CATs within Canada.
• Corresponds with third parties, lawyers, insureds, brokers and interested parties.

The opportunity

We are currently hiring for Field Adjusters to join our Property Field Claims team. This role will be home based and we are looking for adjusters in the Greater Toronto Area.

What You’ll Do

• Completes on site and/or virtual inspections of residential property claims


• Responsible for capturing the scope of damages and writing repair estimates to settle claims


• Reconciles and validates vendor estimates to ensure price and scope is appropriate


• Investigate by meeting with insureds, third parties, witnesses and lawyers in or order to obtain facts and information.


• Review facts, policy, technical reports, fire marshall reports, case law, and make decisions on coverage, value of the claim and negotiate/settle the claim accordingly


• Responsible for providing exemplary customer service and keeping related parties informed of the claims status.


• Responsible for data accuracy, issuance of payments to insureds, vendors and other insurance companies.


• Assistance during CAT’s within Canada.


• Correspond with third parties, lawyers, insureds, brokers and individuals or companies who have an interest in the claim settlement.

What You’ll Bring

What You’ll Get

• The salary band for this position ranges from $70,000 to $85,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
