Job summary

Aviva Canada is hiring Field Adjusters to join our Property Field Claims team. This home-based role covers the Greater Toronto Area, offering a hybrid work model and opportunities to advance within a national insurer.

You will inspect, scope damages, prepare estimates, and negotiate settlements while delivering exceptional customer service. A valid driver’s license and 2+ years in personal lines claims are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of field adjuster experience with Personal Lines claims.
• Strong knowledge of property insurance concepts.
• Proficient with PCs and able to learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site or virtual inspections of residential property claims.
• Capture damage scope and write repair estimates to settle claims.
• Review policy, reports, and negotiate settlements as appropriate.
• Communicate status to insureds, lawyers, and vendors.

This role will be home based and we are looking for adjusters in the Greater Toronto Area .Come join our team!What you’ll doCompletes on site and/or virtual inspections of residential property claimsResponsible for capturing the scope of damages and writing repair estimates to settle claimsReconciles and validates vendor estimates to ensure price and scope is appropriateInvestigate by meeting with insureds, third parties, witnesses and lawyers in or order to obtain facts and information.Review facts, policy, technical reports, fire marshall reports, case law, and make decisions on coverage, value of the claim and negotiate/settle the claim accordinglyResponsible for providing exemplary customer service and keeping related parties informed of the claims status.Responsible for data accuracy, issuance of payments to insureds, vendors and other insurance companies.Assistance during CAT's within Canada.Correspond with third parties, lawyers, insureds, brokers and individuals or companies who have an interest in the claim settlement.What you’ll bring2+ years experience as a Field adjuster handling Personal Lines claimsStrong understanding of Property InsurancePreference given to a candidate with the ability to scope damages and prepare an estimate for repairsGood PC skills and adaptable using new technologyValid drivers licenseWhat you’ll getThe salary band for this position ranges from $70,000 to $85,000.
