Placements24 seeks an Electrical Design Specialist to join a fully remote engineering team in Canada. You will produce detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, and BOMs while collaborating with hardware, firmware, and product managers to refine designs.

You bring a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of hands-on experience in schematic capture and PCB layout, and strong ECAD proficiency (Altium/OrCAD/Eagle).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in electrical design focusing on schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Proficiency with ECAD software (Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle).
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power management, and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts for new product designs and system upgrades.
• Perform detailed circuit analysis, simulations, and power calculations to ensure design integrity and performance.
• Select and specify electrical components, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate remotely with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and product managers to refine designs and resolve technical challenges.
• Generate BOMs and technical documentation for manufacturing and support.
• Stay current with industry trends and new design methodologies to enhance product innovation.
