Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Design.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience; senior level ~10+ years.
• P.Tech Certification would be ideal.
• Strong AutoCAD and Revit experience.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and commercial building systems.
• Ability to produce coordinated, permit-ready drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical drawings and permit/construction packages for commercial and light industrial projects.
• Design and coordinate power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Apply Canadian Electrical Code and client standards to designs.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, PMs, and contractors.
• Review drawings for quality, code compliance, and constructibility.
• Support site reviews, field coordination, and issue resolution during project execution.
• Mentor junior staff and help manage workload for senior-level candidates.
