Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support enterprise data governance initiatives and prioritized business use cases. The role will span policy development, data quality, metadata management, and governance tooling across business and technical teams.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to mature data governance practices, reinforce accountability, and position data as a strategic asset within a public-sector context. On-site in Burnaby with flexible remote work options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
• Experience implementing data governance frameworks, standards, and compliance.
• Knowledge of governance tools like Purview/Collibra/Informatica and related platforms.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, and documentation.
• Define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models for key domains.
• Establish data quality rules, KPIs, metrics, and remediation plans.
• Perform governance assessments, gap analyses, and provide improvement recommendations.
• Create governance artifacts: glossaries, data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, and catalog content.
• Maintain inventories of critical data elements and governance controls.
