Digital Shift is expanding and hiring three to four Content Proofreaders & Editors to keep up with growing client demand. This role suits an experienced editor with content writing background, strong English, and SEO knowledge. Work remotely with full-time hours and paid onboarding.

You will refine service pages and articles for Canada/US markets, tighten flow, and ensure accuracy before publication. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2-3+ years of professional editing and proofreading experience.
• Previous content writing experience for websites or digital platforms.
• Exceptional command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and natural keyword integration.
• Comfort with Google Docs, Grammarly, and CMS publishing/editing.
• Familiarity with editorial style guides and formatting standards.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong prioritization to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to work fully remotely.

Responsibilities

• Edit and proofread client content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, and consistency.
• Improve readability and structure while preserving the writer's meaning and client voice.
• Ensure content follows briefs, style guides, and client guidelines.
• Fact-check names, locations, services, and claims; flag plagiarism.
• Check keywords appear naturally and align with SEO best practices.
• Prepare clean final drafts for client approval and publish in CMS.
