Job summary

Digital Shift in Canada is seeking three to four Content Proofreaders & Editors for remote, full-time roles. You will tighten flow, fix errors, verify service details, and ensure keywords integrate naturally while preserving the writer's voice.

You’ll work with the CMS to publish clean pages and support the SEO team with accurate, polished content across home service markets in Canada and the US. A degree in English or related field and 2–3+ years editing experience are preferred, with paid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2-3+ years of professional editing and proofreading experience (candidates with more experience are welcome).
• Previous content writing experience, ideally for websites or other digital platforms.
• Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and usage, including Canadian/US conventions.

Responsibilities

• Edit and proofread client content (web pages, articles, service pages, marketing materials) for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, tone, and consistency.
• Improve readability and structure while preserving the writer’s meaning and the client’s voice.
• Ensure compliance with creative briefs, style guides, and client guidelines.
• Fact-check names, locations, services, and claims, flag plagiarism or unsupported information.
• Check that target keywords appear naturally and in the right places with SEO best practices.
• Prepare clean final drafts for client approval, then publish and update content in the CMS.
• Manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines across projects.
