Varsity Tutors is a live online learning platform connecting thousands of students with tutors nationwide. As a Competition Math Tutor, you can set your own hours, earn up to $40/hour, and be paid quickly—often twice per week—for tutoring sessions and invoicing.

Our AI-powered Tutor Copilot supports your sessions with real-time instructional help, lesson generation, and engagement features, letting you focus on coaching students and building understanding from home.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of number theory, combinatorics, modular arithmetic, and probability for contests.
• Ability to explain problem-solving heuristics and proof techniques.
• Skilled at breaking down non-routine problems for students.
• Familiar with AMC/MATHCOUNTS/AIME syllabi and contest formats.

Responsibilities

• Teach competition math concepts and problem-solving strategies to individual students.
