Job summary

Equitable seeks a Client Relationship Specialist – Implementation to join our Group Benefits team. You will own the onboarding experience, translate client Group Benefits requirements into Equitable’s internal systems, and drive accurate plan installation from initial sale through go‑live with strong relationship management and process discipline.

This role is 100% remote with occasional in‑person work at the Waterloo, ON office or other Waterloo Region locations; some travel may be required for

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of Group Benefits experience, including implementation and onboarding.
• Solid understanding of Group Benefits products, plan design, and installation processes.
• Ability to analyze complex requirements, assess risk, and make sound decisions within guidelines.
• Knowledge of how underwriting, claims, and administration contribute to outcomes.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for Advisors and new clients during onboarding and implementation.
• Ingest client requirements and translate into internal systems for accurate setup.
• Guide clients through plan setup, ensuring documentation and data meet timelines.
• Manage end-to-end implementation lifecycle from sale to go-live and transition.
• Develop and manage implementation timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with Underwriting, Group Benefits Administration, Claims, IT and other teams.
• Perform risk assessment related to plan design and setup requirements.
• Make case-specific decisions within guidelines for exceptions.
• Support complex or non-standard implementations and shifting priorities.
• Participate in finalist presentations to explain timelines and onboarding needs.
