Job summary

Buckland is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead technology, security, and digital transformation. You will drive the strategy for technology, cyber security, and product development while aligning with organizational goals and modernization plans.

You will oversee architecture, governance, vendor partnerships, and data security across a 24/7 environment, with a focus on scalable, cost-efficient solutions and Agile delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, including 5+ years of strategic leadership.
• Experience in scaling technology teams across multiple products/lines of business.
• Experience with ITIL-4 framework.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technology stack and data analytics platforms such as Power BI.
• Must be legally eligible to work; passport and ability to travel to other offices (CAD/USA/MEX).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the senior leadership team to determine, prioritize, and execute the overall business strategy.
• Develop, implement, review, and monitor departmental and project KPI’s to budget.
• Lead software and product development while adopting Agile methodologies.
• Plan and evaluate evaluation processes for technical architecture and system management.
• Develop and implement the overall technology strategy with 1-, 3-, and 5-year roadmaps.
• Lead the transformation of how information is distributed/communicated internally.
• Establish strong relationships with IT providers and external vendors.
• Ensure projects are staffed, budgeted, and delivered on target using internal and external resources.
• Responsible for data security, governance and business continuity in a 24/7 environment.
• Build out a multi-year Cyber Security roadmap and disaster recovery procedures.
• Oversee systems analysis, programming, and project management across ERP and core applications.
