Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive technology leadership experience in complex enterprises.
  • Expertise in technology strategy, enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT governance.
  • Experience leading ERP environments; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage technology vendors, MSPs, and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation, cloud, data governance, and enterprise architecture.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or operational technology environments is an asset.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on leadership and execution focus.

Responsibilities

An established and growing organization is seeking a Director of Information Technology to lead a defining stage in its evolution. As multiple successful, independently operated businesses come together as a more integrated enterprise, the Director will have a unique opportunity to shape the Information Technology function from the ground up. With a broad mandate and the support of senior leadership, this individual will establish the technology vision, design the operating model, build and develop the team, and determine how internal capabilities and strategic partners can best support the business. Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the organization's Information Technology function, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Lead enterprise technology strategies, including cybersecurity, digital transformation, infrastructure, enterprise applications, and technology governance.
  • Partner with executive leadership and business units to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions that support operational excellence and organizational growth.
  • Foster a high-performing technology organization focused on innovation, service delivery, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute the enterprise technology strategy and roadmap aligned with business priorities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Information Technology team while establishing effective governance, planning, and budget management.
  • Direct cybersecurity strategy, risk management, security governance, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Oversee enterprise applications, including ERP governance, application portfolio management, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with business leaders to prioritize technology investments and ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.
  • Manage enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, networks, end-user computing, and overall IT operations to ensure high availability and service excellence.
  • Oversee relationships with managed service providers, technology vendors, and strategic partners, including performance and service level management.
  • Support enterprise data governance, information management, reporting, and analytics initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to align Information Technology and Operational Technology (IT/OT) standards, strengthen industrial cybersecurity, and support enterprise architecture and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Monitor technology performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement through defined metrics and governance practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive technology leadership experience within complex enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technology strategy, enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT governance.
  • Experience leading enterprise application and ERP environments; SAP experience is considered an asset.
  • Proven success managing technology vendors, managed service providers, and strategic technology partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation, cloud technologies, data governance, and enterprise architecture.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or operational technology environments is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on leadership style and a strong focus on execution, innovation, and business outcomes.
  • Results-oriented professional with the ability to influence change and lead cross-functional initiatives in a dynamic environment.
