Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking an Entry-Level Construction/Carpentry Labourer for the Lake Lodge remote site in Nunavut. You will support skilled trades, assist with general construction tasks, move materials, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment across 12-hour shifts on a 4 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.

Willingness to learn, safety‑consciousness, and teamwork are essential. No prior construction experience is required; lifting up to 50 lbs and WHMIS readiness are assets.

Qualifications

• No prior construction experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Willingness to work 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotational schedule at a remote site in Nunavut.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Must meet all client and project site access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespeople and construction crews with day-to-day construction activities.
• Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Move freight and materials to designated work and storage areas.
• Assist with setup and cleanup of construction work areas.
• Maintain clean, hazard-free workspaces.
• Perform basic manual labour tasks using hand tools and other approved equipment.
