Job summary

Dexterra Group in Canada is seeking a skilled Carpenter to lead the physical setup, maintenance, and decommissioning of remote workforce camps. You’ll manage modular dorms, construct camp infrastructure, and ensure safe, habitable environments in extreme conditions for the crew.

Requirements include 3–5 years in commercial or industrial carpentry, remote camp experience a plus, expert use of power tools and blueprints, and the ability to troubleshoot with limited materials.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in commercial or industrial carpentry.
• Remote camp experience is a major plus.
• Expert-level with power tools, leveling instruments, and blueprints.
• Able to troubleshoot structural issues with limited materials.
• Willing to work 10–12 hour shifts in extreme weather.
• Valid Fall Protection, AWP, and Standard First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Modular installation: lead leveling, blocking, and joining modular trailers.
• Structural assembly: build decks, stairs, boardwalks, and camp infrastructure.
• Weatherproofing: install insulation, skirting, and tin work.
• Decommissioning: dismantle structures for transport with environmental care.
