Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair kitchen appliances, electrical systems, and plumbing within a remote camp facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and respond to emergencies to minimize downtime, while working independently in a demanding environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, journeyman plumber or electrician certification as an asset, and experience in remote camps or industrial settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman Plumber or Electrician certification is an asset.
• First Aid with CPR certification is an asset.
• Experience in remote or fly-in/fly-out camps in Canada, industrial or commercial settings.
• Hands-on experience with commercial kitchen equipment and appliances.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on kitchen appliances and electrical systems across camp facilities.
• Maintain plumbing and lift station systems; assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Inspect electrical appliances for safety and compliance with standards.
• Work independently with limited supervision in a remote environment.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain stock of parts and tools.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with camp management and maintenance staff to address issues promptly.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained camp environment.
