Job summary

Royal Camp Services Ltd. seeks a 1st Cook to join our remote camp kitchen operations. Reporting to the Chef, you will ensure exceptional culinary experiences, maintain food safety and quality, and lead a team in a high-volume setting.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to work varied shifts and travel to Edmonton/Grande Prairie transport locations. Opportunities for advancement and a probationary benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of culinary experience in a high-volume professional kitchen.
• Red Seal Cook Certification an asset.
• Post-secondary culinary education an asset.
• Valid Standard First Aid certification and Alberta Health Services approved Food Safety Certificate.
• Attention to detail and strong food presentation skills.
• Proven ability to lead a team with strong organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chef with meal preparation, inventory management, and ordering.
• Demonstrate mastery of all aspects of cooking for all meal types.
• Accommodate various diets including vegetarian, vegan, cultural, and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure food quality, safety, and standards are met.
• Bake basic breads and desserts.
• Safely use, clean, and maintain all kitchen equipment; supervise and train staff.
