Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking Burmese Medical Interpreters to support critical healthcare and service calls across Canada via OPI and VRI. This remote role requires fluency in Burmese and English, a high school diploma, and ability to work legally in Canada.

Interpreters handle sensitive calls, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to high-volume periods with professionalism. The role includes three weeks of structured training, compensation at $19.70 per hour upon training completion, and a flexible

Qualifications

• Fluent in Burmese and English (speaking, reading, listening, comprehension).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 18 years of age, reside in Ontario, and legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Emotional intelligence and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Comfortable using technology and web-based communication platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time interpretation between Burmese and English speakers using OPI and VRI platforms.
• Facilitate communication in healthcare, insurance, legal, financial, emergency services and public service settings.
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
• Manage video interactions professionally, ensuring appropriate visual communication and etiquette. Accurately convey meaning, tone, and intent while maintaining communication flow between all parties.
• Participate in training, quality monitoring, and performance improvement initiatives.
