McLenehan and Associates Chartered Professional Accountants is seeking a Bookkeeper to join our Client Advisory Services team. This remote‑first role serves clients across Canada, with a four‑day work week and competitive salary.

You'll own a daily portfolio of client books, perform full‑cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online, handle GST/HST filings and payroll, and collaborate directly with a CPA controller to deliver accurate, timely financials.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year of full-cycle bookkeeping, end-to-trial balance.
• Hands-on proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Experience managing multiple clients or entities.
• Knowledge of Canadian payroll and GST/HST compliance.
• Strong written communication for client interactions.
• Reliable home office setup and stable internet.
• Legally allowed to work in Canada with overlap with Central Time.

Responsabilidades

• Own a daily portfolio of 4–10 client files, keep books current.
• Manage client accounting emails, triage and escalate to CPA controller.
• Review client entries and coach client staff to prevent repeats.
• Set priorities across clients and deadlines with minimal direction.
• Communicate professionally with client contacts and follow up.
• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online.
• Prepare GST/HST returns and payroll as assigned.
• Support onboarding of new clients to Client Advisory Services.
• Prepare working papers for controller review.
• Flag process improvements and advisory opportunities.
