Reporting to the Manager, Payroll and Benefits, the role combines data integrity duties with hybrid responsibilities in compensation.

The position emphasizes collaboration with HR, Payroll and external partners, translating complex benefits concepts into clear guidance for managers and employees.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and data management.
  • Ability to produce basic to intermediate data analyses.
  • Strong aptitude for data administration and management, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Interest in HR systems (HRIS) and technology tools.
  • Basic knowledge of compensation and benefits, or a strong capacity to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including group insurance and retirement plans.
  • Manage enrollments, coverage changes, and terminations.
  • Monitor and support short-term and long-term disability cases.
  • Negotiate and renew group insurance and retirement plan contracts.
  • Analyze contracts and provide recommendations to management.
  • Ensure compliance of benefits programs with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Effectively communicate benefits programs to employees.
  • Advise managers and employees on insurance, retirement, and disability-related matters.
  • Prepare communications, training materials, and explanatory documents related to benefits programs.
  • Coordinate taxable benefits and ensure information is accurately transmitted to Payroll.
  • Support the Talent Acquisition team by providing benefits-related information to new hires.
  • Perform other related duties associated with benefits administration.
  • Verify, validate, and ensure the integrity of compensation-related data (role includes a strong administrative component).
  • Conduct basic to intermediate compensation analyses.
  • Manage and monitor incentive and bonus files, the annual salary review process, and hiring salary approvals.
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate exceptions or discrepancies that require attention.
  • Participate in the improvement and automation of compensation-related processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (HR, Payroll and external partners) to ensure data consistency and quality.
