Job summary

InvestorCOM seeks a senior IT Operations Principal Engineer to lead infrastructure, the operational platform, and cloud services remotely from Ontario. This role shapes technical standards, improves security posture, and drives reliability and scalability across products and operations.

You will mentor engineers, establish best practices, and act as the technical authority for IT operations and platform reliability, enabling faster delivery with automation and strong governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, or IT Operations.
• Strong experience designing and administering Azure cloud environments, including networking, identity, monitoring, and security services.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and operational tooling.
• Strong understanding of Windows environments, networking fundamentals, identity management, and security best practices.
• Experience supporting compliance-focused environments such as SOC 2.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, standardize, and continuously improve operational processes for reliable platform operations.
• Lead technical resolution of complex infrastructure and operational issues.
• Monitor platform health, availability, and performance to improve reliability.
• Develop standards, documentation, and runbooks to improve consistency and resiliency.
• Champion automation and AI-assisted tooling to reduce manual work.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence through knowledge sharing.
