Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Aviation Security Specialist to join a global team and lead the design and management of security programs across the aviation sector. This fully remote role requires strategic thinking, automation where possible, and the ability to operate autonomously.

You will develop policies, conduct risk analyses, oversee training, and coordinate with regulators and law enforcement worldwide.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice or related field.
  • Significant experience in aviation security or corporate security.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations (ICAO Annex 17, TSA where applicable).
  • Proven ability to develop and implement security strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement aviation security policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify threats.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Remote Aviation Security Specialist to join their global team. In this fully remote role, you will play a critical part in developing, implementing, and managing robust security protocols to safeguard personnel, assets, and operations across the aviation sector. You will stay abreast of evolving security threats, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure our comprehensive security framework remains effective and resilient. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of aviation security principles and the ability to work autonomously, providing essential security oversight and guidance to a worldwide organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement aviation security policies, procedures, and programs in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee security training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Monitor security incidents, conduct investigations, and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies on security matters.
  • Stay current with aviation security legislation, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field; relevant certifications are highly desirable.
  • Significant experience in aviation security, counter-terrorism, or corporate security, with a strong understanding of aviation-specific risks.
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation security regulations and best practices (e.g., TSA, ICAO Annex 17).
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective security strategies and programs.
