Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Aviation Cybersecurity Specialist for an aviation technology client. You will safeguard aircraft systems and data, develop cybersecurity strategies, perform vulnerability assessments, and respond to incidents from a remote location.

You will work on risk analyses, implement controls like firewalls and encryption, ensure compliance with industry standards, and provide security guidance across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, cybersecurity, IT or related field.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity with ICS or aviation focus.
• Experience in risk assessment, vulnerability management, incident response, threat intelligence.
• Knowledge of network security, cryptography, and security frameworks.
• Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CISM are desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and remote communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage cybersecurity strategies for aviation.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, pentesting, and risk analyses of aircraft systems, IT and OT.
• Monitor networks for breaches and respond to incidents.
• Implement security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption).
• Ensure compliance with aviation cybersecurity regulations and best practices (NIST, CMMC).
• Provide cybersecurity awareness training across the organization.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
