Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support financial operations in a fully remote role. The candidate will oversee month-end and year-end closings, ensure accurate financial reporting, and contribute to audits for a nonprofit-focused SaaS environment.

You’ll manage expense platforms, transfers to the general ledger, and collaborate with FP&A and external auditors while driving process improvements and system implementations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of accounting experience, ideally in SaaS/tech.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, revenue recognition, and month-end close.
• Advanced Excel skills; hands-on with NetSuite or comparable platforms.
• Ability to learn new software quickly and manage data across systems.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly accounting activities: review revenue transactions, investigate discrepancies, ensure records are complete and reliable.
• Oversee month-end closing: coordinate closing, complete reconciliations, prepare monthly financial statements with notes.
• Administer expense management: manage expense platform, issue virtual cards, approve reports, align with ledger updates.
• Supervise accounting personnel: oversee staff accountant, provide training, review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support audits and year-end reporting: prepare documentation, respond to auditors, compile year-end statements.
• Improve accounting systems: support software transitions, optimize processes, pursue automation opportunities.
• Assist with tax compliance: gather docs for external tax advisors and file 1099s.
• Provide financial reporting support: prepare ad hoc FP&A analyses for stakeholders.
