Job summary

A & A Customs Brokers has been clearing shipments across the Canadian border since 1979. We’re looking for an experienced and customer-focused Air Ocean Customs Clearance Coordinator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working at a customs brokerage in Canada. This position is critical to ensuring shipments are handled in a timely and efficient manner, working collaboratively with the Air/Ocean team to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customs clearance coordination experience (air/ocean preferred).
• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or equivalent Canadian designation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian import rules/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation and prepare customs release entries.
• Process and manage air and ocean container releases.
• Analyze documents for tariff classifications, duties, and taxes.
• Collect required information from customers, carriers, CBSA, etc.
• Arrange deliveries and terminal fees payments.
• Communicate with clients via email with clarity and service focus.
• Maintain knowledge of Canadian ports and warehouses.
• Enter data accurately into systems and meet timelines.
• Review files for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
