Job summary

A & A Customs Brokers is seeking an experienced Air/Ocean Customs Clearance Coordinator to join our remote team. You will ensure timely clearance, work closely with the Air/Ocean group, and deliver outstanding service to clients across Canada.

We value tech-savvy, detail-oriented professionals who can navigate Canadian rules, use systems like ITMr4, Cargowise, CANdata, and collaborate effectively with carriers, CBSA, and clients from home offices nationwide.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customs clearance coordination, ideally for air/ocean shipments.
• Strong understanding of Canadian import regulations.
• Experience with IT systems and digital tools for efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation and prepare customs release entries.
• Process air and ocean container releases and ensure timely processing.
• Determine tariff classifications, duties, and taxes from documents.
• Coordinate with customers, carriers, CBSA and others for information.
• Arrange deliveries and payment of terminal fees.
• Communicate with clients by email clearly and professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of Canadian ports and warehouses.
• Enter data accurately into company systems and meet deadlines.
• Ensure files comply with A & A Customs and Canadian regulations.
