Job summary

Scale AI’s Outlier project seeks detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media on a freelance basis. Roleplay live conversations with an AI voice model, rate naturalness and usefulness, and explain in writing what looked or sounded wrong.

Contributors work remotely with flexible hours, earning up to USD 15 per hour plus incentives. You’ll review images, videos, and captions, and you’ll be part of a global expert network delivering feedback to frontier AI systems.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with clear written communication.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to replay or zoom in when necessary.
• Ability to discuss realistic scenarios in a natural, conversational way.
• Experience writing concise, evidence-based explanations.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Holding live, scenario-based conversations in English with AI voice models and rating naturalness and usefulness.
• Comparing AI-generated images and videos and judging which better follows the prompt.
• Inspecting outputs closely to spot problems like distortions or mismatched audio.
• Writing detailed explanations in English pointing to observed issues.
• Completing tasks including image/video evaluations and caption labeling.
