Job summary

Point is hiring a Technical Lead Manager to steer the AI engineering team building voice, email, chat, and SMS agents for homeowner interactions. You will stay hands-on in code, define technical direction, and collaborate with Product, Ops, and CX to deliver applied AI that customers use directly.

You will mentor a small senior team, drive observability and reliability across the AI stack (Langfuse), and own the roadmap from concept through delivery in a remote-first environment across Canada.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering, with at least 2 years in leadership or management roles.
• Proven experience delivering LLM-powered or agentic AI systems in real-world settings.
• Track record shipping customer-facing products end-to-end from design to deployment and iteration.
• Strong collaboration with Product, CX, and Ops to translate needs into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define the AI technical strategy for CX, including evaluating frameworks and vendor solutions.
• Own the technical road map for AI-powered customer experiences (voice, chat, email, SMS).
• Write code with the team—review PRs, prototype capabilities, fix production issues.
• Collaborate with Product, CX, and Ops to replace or augment manual workflows with AI.
• Set success metrics for agent performance and prioritize the roadmap accordingly.
• Design reliable agent architectures for production-scale operations.
