Job summary

Observe.AI is seeking an AI Agent Engineer in Ottawa to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise-grade AI Agents, including design, integration, deployment, and optimization. The role is hands-on, customer-facing, and pivotal for bringing AI solutions to life—from concept to production and tuning performance.

You will own the implementation of AI Agents, tailor prompts, configure workflows, and integrate with telephony and CRMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with integration tools and iPaaS platforms (n8n, Zapier) a plus.
• Strong hands-on skills in prompt design, workflow building and API integration (SIP, Twilio, Amazon Connect).
• Proficient in Python or JavaScript scripting and integrations.
• 3+ years in conversational AI, solution engineering, or system integration delivering AI/LLM-based solutions.
• Excellent communication for customer-facing demos and discussions.

Responsibilities

• Build & Deploy AI Agents: Implement AI Agents including prompt design, integrations, telephony setup, and evaluation frameworks.
• Client Engagement: Lead demos and gather feedback, guiding solutions from concept to production.
• Systems Integration: Configure and connect systems via APIs, handling authentication, data mapping, and error handling.
• Telephony Integration: Set up SIP/CCaaS/PSTN routing and troubleshoot call quality.
• Prompt Design & Optimization: Write/refine prompts, monitor performance, and ensure containment targets.
• Strategic Partner: Translate customer requirements into actionable solutions and unblock challenges.
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Work with product/engineering to identify gaps and drive client implementations.
