Jobgether's partner company in Canada seeks an Account Specialist, LVAR to manage delinquent and high-risk loan accounts, identifying effective collection strategies and guiding repayment options.

This role blends customer service, financial assessment, and loss mitigation. Working remotely, you will collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, process transactions, and ensure adherence to policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in collections, customer service, financial services, or related field.
• Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline desirable; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of applicable consumer collections laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with financial products and services, ideally within banking, lending, or consumer credit.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial conversations with empathy.
• Remote work eligibility across multiple Canadian locations; confirm residency with the hiring team.

Responsibilities

• Review delinquent and high-risk accounts to identify collection opportunities and resolution strategies.
• Provide professional, responsive customer service to build trust and support relationships.
• Communicate with customers to understand financial circumstances and propose payment strategies.
• Apply loss mitigation procedures to resolve non-performing accounts while minimizing losses.
• Explain repayment options and loan modification solutions to customers.
• Handle customer calls and process transactions accurately.
• Analyze account data to support decisions and next steps.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve requests and refer cases when needed.
• Escalate complex or unresolved cases to management per guidelines.
• Maintain accurate, confidential account records and comply with policies.
• Stay informed on consumer collections practices and regulations.
• Support process improvements to enhance collection efficiency.
• Apply risk management framework in decision making.
