Job summary

L'Arche Lethbridge is seeking a Relief Assistant for a 3-month, full-time placement in Lethbridge, AB. The role supports Core Members in a shared living environment, assisting with daily living tasks and household operations.

The position requires open availability (mornings, evenings, weekends), a valid Alberta Class-5 driver’s license, and a Grade 12 or equivalent. It offers meaningful life-changing work within a faith-based community.

Qualifications

• Develop meaningful, caring relationships with Core Members.
• Learn and apply conflict and stress management skills.
• Work collaboratively with the household and community.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living needs of Core Members (appearance, hygiene, nutrition, budgeting, laundry, cooking, cleaning).
• Care for household including cleaning, meal prep, shopping, maintenance per Community guidelines.
• Learn and implement Community policies; facilitate communication with Core Members.
• Ensure appropriate clothing and age-appropriate presentation; assist with medication storage as directed by House Leader.
• Support hosting gatherings and accompany members on outings.
