Job summary

L’Arche Homefires is seeking an energetic Live-out Assistant to support individuals with and without developmental disabilities in a community setting. The role involves daily living activities, safety, and companionship within Burnside House and surrounding Wolfville locations.

The position requires providing person-centered care, participating in training, and contributing to team efforts while maintaining flexibility in scheduling and commuting by vehicle when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team environment.
• Ability to support daily living activities within a shared living environment.
• Proficient in computer use and digital documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand the Identity and Mission of L’Arche and adhere to core documents.
• Actively participate in meetings, reviews, and community events as required.
• Support Core Members with daily living activities, routines, and transportation when needed.
