Job summary

Lumentum Canada is seeking a Reliability Test Engineer to join our Ottawa team on-site. You will develop software to automate reliability testing for new product platforms, collaborating with R&D across optical, electronic and software groups.

The ideal candidate holds a BS/MS in Computer or Electrical Engineering and has 2–5 years in instrument-control software. You will build test sets, debug failures and manage data, with strong teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5 years’ experience in developing software for instrument control.
• Experience with automated test systems and lab automation.

What You’ll Be Doing

Take this opportunity to join a great company as a Reliability Software Test Engineer. We are seeking a motivated and talented Test Engineer to work closely with R&D teams (optical, electronic, and software) to develop software for testing the reliability of new product platforms.

What We’re Looking For

• BS/MS Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2-5 years’ experience in developing software for instrument control, either in a research or manufacturing role.

Skills

• Experience with Automated Test System using VB.NET, C or C#
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment with excellent communication skill;
• Experience in any of the following is an asset:
• Knowledge of optical components and systems;
• Experience with SQL and web app development;
• Hands-on experience with electrical and optical test and measurement equipment.

Salary Range: $71,450 - $102,100 CAD (flexible).

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. In line with our commitment to being a great place to work, Lumentum offers competitive total rewards which may include annual bonus, equity, and comprehensive health and welfare benefits.
