- Engineer with impact: Design and implement advanced optical test and verification strategies to transition breakthrough products from the design phase to full‑scale production.
- Characterize cutting‑edge optics: Conduct in‑depth characterization of key optical parameters, using advanced techniques to ensure our products are optimized for real‑world performance.

Education: A graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
Experience: The ideal candidate will have:
- 7+ years of relevant experience on product development of optical components, photonics, or telecom systems
- Strong analytical, communication skills, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency in Software Development
- Experience in the design and/or testing of optical components and subsystems for optical communications.
- Hands‑on experience with electrical and optical test and measurement equipment
- Expertise in test automation, including interaction with devices under test and test equipment.
- Experience in any one (or more) of the following: Python, Flutter, Dart, C#
- Experience leveraging packages and frameworks in a software development context
- Familiarity with Agile software development tools, version control systems (Git)

Salary Range: $110,625 - $149,675 CAD (flexible).
Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. In line with our commitment to being a great place to work, Lumentum offers competitive total rewards which may include annual bonus, equity, and comprehensive health and welfare benefits.
