Job summary

Equinox Gold’s Musselwhite Mine in northwestern Ontario seeks a Reliability Technician (Fixed) to manage asset health and reliability of fixed assets within a fly-in, fly-out operation. You will work with the reliability team on PM documentation, diagnostic analysis, and precision instrumentation.

Role requires mining experience, journeyperson certification or engineering/technical education, and strong communication. Duty involves 14 days on/off, 12-hour shifts at Musselwhite Mine.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years experience in a mining environment with ore processing, crushing, grinding, and related operations.
• MLT1, VCAT1, UT, NDT, or Thermography training preferred
• Certified Journeyperson in good standing, or engineering/technical education preferred
• Desktop computer literacy is required
• Strong attention to detail and solid communication skills
• Self-directed, team-oriented with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting

Responsibilities

• Audit and develop PM documentation with the Long-Range Planner to ensure asset reliability
• Guide the use of precision technologies (laser alignment, oil analysis) for the Execution team
• Lead maintenance elimination efforts by selecting best materials
• Centralize manuals and documentation for fixed assets
• Adhere to site-wide fixed lubrication program
• Perform predictive diagnostics, evaluations and recommendations
• Complete vibration, thermography and ultrasonic routes
• Create execution work orders from PdM defect reporting
• Conduct RCFA for mechanical failures and propose defect-elimination projects

Purpose:

Reporting to the Reliability Supervisor, the Fixed Reliability Technician is responsible for asset health, integrity, and reliability of fixed assets.

Responsibilities include:

• Work alongside Long-Range Planner to audit & develop detailed PM documentation to ensure reliability of fixed assets
• Provide guidance in the use of precision technologies (laser alignment, oil analysis) to Execution team members
• Maintenance elimination activities through research and implementation of the best materials for the application
• Centralize equipment manuals and documentation for fixed assets
• Site-wide fixed lubrication program adherence
• Predictive diagnostic analysis, evaluation, and recommendations
• Vibration, thermography, and ultrasonic route completion
• Create execution work orders based on PdM defect reporting
• Perform RCFA's for mechanical failures and recommend defect elimination projects

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of three (3) years experience in a mining environment: ore processing crushing, grinding, gravity concentration, dewatering, leach/CIP, stripping, conveying and refining
• MLT1, VCAT1, UT, NDT, or Thermography training preferred
• Certified Journeyperson in good standing, or completed secondary education with diploma or degree in engineering or technical field preferred
• Desktop computer literacy
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong commitment to working in a safe, socially-responsible manner
• Self-directed team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions:

• The Musselwhite gold mine in northwestern Ontario is a fly-in, fly-out operations and the schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per day.

Compensation:

• The salary for this position is CAD $140,400.00 per year, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
• The Company offers a Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP), including an automatic 5% employer contribution, with the option for employees to receive up to an additional 4% employer match on employee
