Job summary

Equinox Gold, Musselwhite Mine, is seeking a Fixed Plant Maintenance Millwright to support ongoing maintenance of surface and underground equipment. The role reports to the Maintenance Team Leader and emphasizes safe, proactive practices to minimize downtime and maximize asset reliability.

The ideal candidate is a certified journeyperson-millwright with a current CWB welding ticket (or ability to obtain within a year) and at least 3 years of ore processing experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Journeyperson-Millwright with a current CWB welding ticket or able to obtain within one year.
• Minimum of three (3) years of ore processing experience including crushing, grinding, gravity concentration, dewatering, leach/CIP, stripping, conveying, refining and hoisting.
• Ability to lift, carry and push 50 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to reach below, above and at shoulder height; work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Commitment to working safely and in a socially responsible manner.
• Excellent oral and written communication and desktop computing literacy.
• Self-directed team player capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on fixed plant equipment.
• Work on surface and underground stationary equipment as required.
• Perform laser alignment, component rebuilds/replacements, welding, fabrication and bearing work.
• Maintain safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of Maintenance and Reliability teams.
• Contribute to Maintenance and Reliability improvement initiatives.
• Participate in all maintenance shutdown activities.

Purpose

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the Fixed Plant Maintenance Millwright will contribute to the Maintenance department\'s goals of continuing to foster a safe and efficient work environment, minimize downtime and ensure optimum equipment effectiveness through proactive maintenance practices. We are seeking a motivated Millwright to join our Maintenance Team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ability to work both on surface and underground on stationary equipment.
• Tasks include laser alignment, component rebuild & replacement, welding, fabrication, bearing assembly and setting of clearances, contamination control and asset lubrication.
• Ensure work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and provide input directed at improving the safety, efficiency and overall effectiveness of the Maintenance and Reliability department.
• Provide input to Maintenance and Reliability improvement initiatives.
• Participate in all aspects of maintenance shutdowns.

Education and Experience

• The candidate must be a Certified Journeyperson-Millwright, with a current CWB welding ticket, or ability to gain CWB certification within one year of hire date.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an ore processing environment associated with crushing, grinding, gravity concentration, dewatering, leach/CIP, stripping, conveying, refining and hoisting.
• Ability to lift, carry and push 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to constantly reach below, above, and at-shoulder height.
• Ability to work at-heights and in confined spaces.
• Strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, desktop computing literacy.
• The candidate must be a self-directed team player, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong attention to detail.

Working Conditions

• The schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per day.

Compensation

• The salary for this position is CAD $143,703.00 per year, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
• The Company offers a Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP), including an automatic 5% employer contribution, with the option for employees to receive up to an additional 4% employer match on employee contributions.
