Job summary

Safran Landing Systems Canada Inc. is seeking a Reliability & Safety Engineer to join our North American team in Canada.

You will participate in concurrent engineering to define safety and reliability requirements for landing gear systems, including hydromechanical/electrical components and ECUs, while coordinating with suppliers and customers. You will perform reliability and safety analyses, support aircraft certification, and conduct trade studies to select optimal system architectures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering Physics or Engineering Science).
  • 6–10 years of relevant experience.
  • FAR 25.1309 and SAE ARP 4754A/4761 knowledge is an asset.
  • RTCA/DO-178b/c knowledge is an asset.
  • Model-Based Safety Analysis knowledge is an asset.
  • Experience with DOORS is an asset.
  • Knowledge of aerospace standards and airworthiness concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job description

Candidate skills & requirements

Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering Physics or Engineering Science).

  • A minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience and understanding of FAR 25.1309 and SAE ARP 4754A/4761 a definite asset.
  • Previous experience and understanding of RTCA/DO-178b/c a definite asset.
  • Previous experience and understanding in Model-Based Safety Analysis a definite asset.
  • Proficient computer skills including good knowledge of one of the R&S software (CAFTA, RELEX, ITEM or equivalent).
  • Experience with “DOORS” requirements management software is an asset.
  • Understanding and ability to apply safety, reliability and maintainability concepts
  • Knowledge of applicable aerospace standards and airworthiness concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Salary: $104,600 to $130,700
