Job summary

Hospitalité Canada is seeking a full-time Relationship Manager in Niagara Falls, ON. This hybrid role blends remote coordination with in-person work at schools and host families, supporting a growing Homestay network.

You will build relationships with hosts, students, and schools, manage records, plan trainings, and respond to crises with discretion and empathy. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

  • Two years of homestay or related work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication (French for Quebec/parts of Ontario).
  • One-year Community College Certificate or Diploma.
  • International experience hosting students or travel abroad preferred.
  • Ability to plan events and public speaking.
  • Judgement and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage relationships between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support homestay hosts, parents and students in cultural practices and differences.
  • Plan and deliver in-person trainings and orientations for hosts and students.
  • Communicate and maintain accurate records.
  • Build a supportive local community of host families.
  • Support student-host family relationships throughout the program.
  • Respond to crises promptly and refer cases to health professionals as needed.
  • In-person work with intake and School Meetings.
  • Travel within the local region and surrounding areas.

Full-time Permanent Position – Hybrid (Niagara Falls, ON).

Hospitalité Canada provides student accommodation services across the Niagara Region. We understand the immense planning and preparation that our students go through prior to their arrival at their new host family’s home. With that in mind, it is our goal to help make their transition to Canada and Canadian lifestyle as easy and exciting as possible.

For over 20 years, Hospitalité Canada has worked closely with local school districts and private schools by successfully accommodating thousands of young students, from over 25 countries, with carefully selected host families. Our staff nurtures a close relationship with our families in an effort to create successful placements and the best possible experience for both host families and students.

About the Relationship Manager position

Hospitalité Canada is currently seeking a full-time Relationship Manager located in Niagara Falls, ON. As a Relationship Manager you have strong relationship‑building skills and can problem‑solve issues as they arise. A day might see you welcoming new students to their new community, talking to the student’s school or host family about academic or social issues, and discussing Homestay responsibilities with one of our Canadian hosts. As an integral member of our Operations Team, you’ll be using your strong communication and judgment skills daily, to help build and grow our Homestay network.

It is a hybrid role, work from home office and in-person at school or partner’s office, and potential travel to neighbouring communities with an hourly wage between $25.50-$27.50.

This is a permanent full-time (40 hrs per week) vacant position in Niagara Falls, ON, with in-person work in the Niagara Falls region outside of the city limits.

This is a full-time role and some flexibility in availability will be needed. There may be some evenings and weekends for events or emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage relationships between internal and external stakeholders

  • Support homestay hosts, natural parents, and students in interpreting cultural practices and differences

  • Plan and deliver in-person training to hosts as well as in-person orientations for hosts and new students

  • Communicate and maintain accurate records

  • Build a supportive local community of host families

  • Support student and host family relationships throughout their program in a variety of ways

  • Respond to crisis situations in a prompt and caring manner and refer cases to health professionals where appropriate

  • In person work with intake and School Meetings

  • Assume custodianship for the local region/community students under the age of 18 as required (up to 100 km)

  • Travel amongst the local community and surrounding areas

The successful candidate will have
  • At least two years of homestay or related work experience

  • Strong verbal and written English communication. French is also mandatory for positions assigned to Quebec and parts of Ontario.

  • One-year Community College Certificate or Diploma

  • International experience including hosting students or travelling abroad (preferred)

  • Ability to plan events and comfortability with public speaking

  • Great judgement and decision‑making skills while exercising a high degree of confidentiality

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with a potential of high‑stress situations

  • Exceptional Customer Service skills and experience

  • Excellent Word, Excel, Email, and Database skills

  • Superior organizational skills and ability to hold yourself accountable while working independently

  • Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with both colleagues and clients

This role requires the successful candidate to be at least 25 years of age and a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. They will also need to have a full and valid drivers license with a reliable vehicle that has at least 2 million auto insurance liability coverage and be able to pass a Criminal Record Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check.
