Job summary

Computershare is seeking a Relationship Manager I to develop and maintain client relationships within Corporate Trust in Toronto. You will manage simple to mid-level accounts, coordinate with internal teams, review contractual documents, and promote Corporate Trust products to existing and new clients.

The role requires strong communication, risk awareness, and the ability to work across multiple systems in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Corporate Trust, financial services, account management, or related areas.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required or preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex legal documents.
  • Strong PC skills and ability to navigate multiple systems.

  • Represent Corporate Trust and maintain client relationships for simple to mid-level accounts and occasionally larger, complex accounts.
  • Sell and promote Corporate Trust products/services to new and existing clients; review contracts and coordinate deal closings.
  • Serve as primary client contact, manage communications, and coordinate with internal partners on deliverables.
  • Support risk management by implementing controls in line with policy and procedures.
  • Assist with new account sales when needed.

Job description

Location: Toronto, Canada (Bay Street) - Hybrid

In this position, you’ll be based in our Bay Street office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. Find out more about our flexible work culture at computershare.com/flex.

Your working hours will be 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday with flexible hours typically from 8:30am to 5:00pm.This is a replacement position on our team.

Within Computershare Corporate Trust, the Relationship Manager I works in a fast-paced environment across two primary divisions: Residential Mortgage Services (RMS) and Specialized Asset Services (SAS). The RMS division offers traditional Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) services including Trustee, Bond Administration, and Master Servicing services, as well as non-securitized services supporting Finance Facility products where we serve as Calculation and Paying Agent for market participants. Our SAS division supports CLO and leveraged loan finance facilities, work with issuers, asset managers, investors, bond holders, and regulatory agencies to provide services for a variety of alternative investment products including trustee and paying agent, portfolio administration for CLOs and other financing and investment structures, custodian for securities and bank loans, and syndicated bank loan administration.

A role you will love

The Relationship Manager I is responsible for representing Corporate Trust in developing and maintaining client relationships for simple to mid-level accounts and sometimes large, critical, and complex accounts, as well as selling and promoting products and services to new and existing clients.

The Relationship Manager I will act as the primary client contact, reviewing contractual documents, negotiating, and coordinating with internal partners on deal closings.

In addition, the role may provide limited support for new account sales.

Other duties will include:
  • Develop and maintain client relationships for simple to mid-level accounts and sometimes large, critical, and complex accounts.
  • Increase account profit through selling and promoting Corporate Trust products and services to new and existing clients, performing contractual document review, negotiation and coordinating closings, as well as subsequent amendments and supplements.
  • Provides primary client contact, proactive communication and consultation, and coordination of internal partners for the effective delivery of Corporate Trust products and services.
  • Proactively support the management of risk, in line with the risk policy, framework and appetite by establishing controls to ensure that policies and processes are effectively implemented and executed, while understanding key business procedures and associated risks/controls for each client and respective deal.
  • Ability to recognize an issue or problem and determine when to escape or handle independently.
What will you bring to the role
Essential:
  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Corporate Trust, Financial Services, Account Management, Servicing, Operations, production or general office environment demonstrated through work or in lieu of military experience.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Relationship/Account Management.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex legal documents.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications.
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.

Compensation.The typical pay range for this position is $72,750k - $95k/yr. This salary is specific to Toronto and may not be applicable in other locations.
