Job summary

The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) seeks a Rehabilitation Assistant to support Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering rehab services across inpatient, outpatient and long-term care settings in Fort Smith. You will assist with patient care, equipment management and team coordination under supervision.

Graduates of a recognized community college physiotherapy/occupational therapy assistant program are encouraged

Qualifications

• Assists in the implementation of PT, OT and SLP treatment plans under supervision.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care as assigned by rehabilitation professionals.
• Coordinate with the rehabilitation team to ensure coordinated care.
• Manage equipment and supplies to support therapy sessions and daily operations.
• Ensure services are delivered within the defined scope of practice.
