Driving Compliance Excellence: As a Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will assist with the development, execution, and oversight of Home Hardware’s enterprise regulatory compliance program to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and promote a strong culture of compliance. Led by the Director, Regulatory Compliance, this role requires excellent interpersonal, research, and analytical skills. Here’s how you can contribute:

• Assist with developing and implementing Regulatory Compliance and Data Privacy Frameworks to support enterprise compliance with laws and regulations.
• Develop oversight mechanisms, including assessments, to monitor compliance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor regulatory changes through Home Hardware’s Legal Watch program and assess controls and implementation plans.
• Review and update enterprise policies, processes, procedures, and templates regularly.
• Contribute to projects by promoting compliance and privacy-by-design, and evaluate risks via Regulatory and Privacy Impact Assessments.
• Investigate compliance incidents and privacy complaints, manage incident response, and oversee corrective actions.
• Provide expert advice on regulatory and data privacy matters, fostering team ownership of compliance responsibilities.
• Deliver training and facilitate workshops on emerging regulatory and privacy risks.

We’re looking for:

• Post-secondary education with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Compliance Manager or similar role.
• Deep knowledge of Canadian privacy legislation, with a preference for CIPP/C certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience leading large-scale change initiatives.
• Familiarity with risk management, assessments, and control effectiveness.
• Strong research, analysis, and reporting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence and clarify complex privacy requirements.
• Availability to work onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs.
