About The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and globally minded HR Policy & Compliance Manager to support and strengthen our HR compliance framework and policy governance. Reporting to the Employee Relations team, this role will serve as a key partner in driving consistent, legally sound, and values-aligned HR practices across the company’s global footprint, while sitting in North America.
This role partners closely with Legal, HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and business leaders to monitor, update, and implement HR policies and compliance practices that meet both regulatory and organizational standards.
What You'll Get To Do
HR Policy Management
- Partner with Legal, ER, HR COEs, and HRBPs to develop, revise, and maintain global HR policies that align with current employment laws and company values.
- Maintain and manage the employee handbook, including country- and state-specific supplements, ensuring proper documentation, distribution tracking, and version control.
- Lead and support global policy harmonization efforts, ensuring consistency while allowing for regional legal and cultural variation.
Compliance Monitoring & Audits
- Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with employment laws and internal HR policies; collaborate with cross-functional teams on remediation and action planning.
- Track, interpret, and analyze new federal, state, and international employment laws; evaluate impact and recommend necessary policy or process changes.
- Partner with Legal and Corporate Compliance to support risk assessments and ensure operational adherence to regulatory standards globally.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and advisor to HRBPs, Employee Relations, and leaders on policy interpretation, compliance obligations, and best practices.
- Partner with Benefits, Total Rewards, and Corporate Compliance to align on regulatory compliance areas impacting core HR processes.
- Support resolution of employee issues involving policy interpretation and performance concerns in partnership with ER and HRBPs.
Program & Project Management
- Manage HR compliance projects with clear work plans, timelines, and coordination across stakeholders and regions.
- Apply change management principles to ensure smooth implementation of policy updates and HR operational changes, minimizing complexity and maximizing user adoption.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and apply technology solutions to reduce manual administrative tasks.
Communication & Training
- Develop and execute communication and training plans related to policy updates, compliance changes, and new HR programs.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for senior HR leadership and other key stakeholders to support transparency, awareness, and education.
- Monitor trends through data and reporting to proactively identify areas for improvement or intervention.
Skills And Experience We Value
- 8+years of experience in HR compliance, policy development, employee relations, or a similar HR operations-focused role
- Solid understanding of U.S. employment law with exposure to international HR compliance considerations (e.g., GDPR, local labor laws)
- Experience managing complex HR documentation and policy governance
- Demonstrated ability to lead audits, drive projects, and interpret legal/regulatory updates into practical HR action
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to work across multiple HR and legal functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with global companies and multi-country HR policy environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Law, or a related field; HR or compliance certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, CCEP) a plus
