Job summary

Englehart Animal Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our collaborative team. You will assist veterinarians with medical, surgical and dental procedures, and you will care for patients and clients with compassion and clear communication.

Ideal candidates have VTNE passed or eligibility, and hold a Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma. We offer flexible schedules and a supportive, growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• VTNE required or eligible to write VTNE.
• In good standing with provincial regulatory association.
• 2- or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program completed.
• Assist and help with managing the practice; ensure high standard of client care and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures.
• Prepare patients, instruments and equipment for surgery.
• Administer and monitor medicines under direction of a Veterinarian.
• Support and help manage the practice and ensure protocols are followed.

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE, be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association and successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program. You will also be required to assist and help with managing the practice. Ensuring team members deliver a high standard of client care and ensuring practice compliance, procedures and protocols are being met.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $33.00/hr
