Job summary

Manchester Fort Vets for Pets is seeking a registered veterinary nurse to join our brand-new, purpose-built practice opened in 2025. You’ll be hands-on in nursing across a busy first-opinion setting with a supportive team focused on clinical excellence and continuous learning.

We offer a 40-hour week, alternating shifts, ongoing development, and a competitive package up to £29,500 DOE in a modern facility with ultrasound, digital X-ray, and in-house lab capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Currently registered as a Veterinary Nurse with valid RVN status.
  • Experience in a first-opinion clinical setting is essential.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out nurse consultations and preventative healthcare clinics.
  • Provide inpatient care, monitoring, anesthesia and theatre nursing.
  • Assist with diagnostics, imaging, and laboratory work.
  • Support surgical and medical cases with a hands-on approach.
  • Deliver outstanding patient and client care within a collaborative team.

Manchester Fort Vets for Pets is looking for a passionate and confident RVN to join our friendly, inclusive team in our brand-new, purpose-built practice, which opened in 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who enjoys being hands-on across all aspects of nursing and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient and client care. You'll play an important role within our busy first-opinion practice, working alongside a supportive team that values collaboration, clinical excellence and continuous learning.

Meet the Team

You’ll be joining a close-knit team consisting of:

  • 2 Veterinary Surgeons
  • 1 Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • 1 Veterinary Care Assistant
  • 1 Client Care Advisor
  • 1 Practice Manager
The Role

This is a varied and rewarding nursing position within a busy first-opinion practice. Our caseload includes routine consultations alongside a broad range of medical and surgical cases, providing plenty of opportunity to utilise and develop your nursing skills.

You’ll be involved in all aspects of nursing, including:

  • Nurse consultations and preventative healthcare clinics
  • Inpatient care and monitoring
  • Anaesthesia and theatre nursing
  • Diagnostic imaging and laboratory work
  • Supporting surgical and medical cases
  • Delivering outstanding patient and client care as part of a collaborative clinical team

  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
